About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Learn what to say and what to do when people share their problems. Repeatedly listening to people's problems can cause vicarious trauma and a feeling of helplessness.

This on-demand training video teaches the reflective listening skills that telephone crisis-line operators learn - before they can start listening to people's problems.

Ideal for staff orientation, this training reduces burnout and absenteeism and the knowledge gained increases workplace morale and productivity. It also increases staff resilience and their ability to deal with difficult situations.

Using these RAVE listening skills protects from anxiety and depression caused by vicarious trauma and the need to 'fix things'.

The video includes a QR Code linking to a free copy of our 'How To Stay Sane In A Crazy World' eBook.

Toddlers To Teens Parenting Toolkit www.pkit.au

In today's fast-paced world, effective parenting skills are increasingly scarce, leading to a range of problems that affect children and society. The lack of boundaries, guidance, and consistent discipline hinders children's development and emotional well-being.

Inadequate parenting also contributes to behavioural issues, including aggression, defiance, and academic underachievement.

At The Brain Health Education Institute, we believe that every family deserves free access to the best parenting information available. That's why we're proud to introduce our new Parenting Toolkit which links to 15 parenting, mental health and wellbeing videos and resources. In this one toolkit, they have access to expert advice on everything from understanding Circle of Security Parenting, early learning well-being resources, how to reduce stress and anxiety and even strategies for managing the teenage years.

By providing easy access to these resources, we hope to make it easier for new and experienced parents to navigate the challenges of raising a child. We believe that every family deserves the support and guidance they need to thrive, and we're committed to providing that support in a way that is accessible, affordable, and convenient. The Parenting Toolkit is free and includes the 15 Minute Counselling Course.
