ABOUT ME:
My name is Michael Becker, I am a Perth born and raised performer and creative. I have a BA in Theatre (Curtin University) which I finished on exchange in NY and an MA in Film (ECU). I have been studying improvisation for 8 years, predominantly in Sydney, with masterclasses and intensives in Chicago and New Zealand.

For 3 years, I’ve been teaching improv classes to children and adults in Sydney as well as masterclasses in Perth at Perth’s improv school Only The Human. In addition to my improv experience, in the last 3 years I’ve been studying Social Dynamics and have been applying the principles from this field of study to improvisation.

My experience with improv is a noticeable improvement in participant presence, confidence, spirit of play and ability to positively interact with others.

a testimonial:

"Michael's depth of improv knowledge is outstanding. His coaching style is friendly and casual yet incredibly insightful. We have instituted a number of his suggestions around active listening, the value of your scene partner, scene progression, object work, and more into our practice exercises and scenes. We strongly recommend Michael for developing teams and will have him back again.”
