About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Every 3 months, Anti-Poverty Network SA hosts a free lunch for all our members and supporters, with guest speakers on a topic related to our interest areas (the poverty and the housing crisis), followed by discussion, and updates about our latest campaigns and community work, and how to get involved.

This November, our topic will be the food crisis: people’s struggles getting food that is affordable, healthy, and suitable; where people go for support; and what happens when support services are stressful and humiliating (and, does it have to be this way?).

Our guest speaker will be Dr. Michelle Watson from Flinders University who recently completed her PhD on this topic.

All members and supporters are welcome.

Lunch from 1pm; Forum from 1:30pm.

Who We Are: Anti-Poverty Network SA is a grassroots community campaigning organisation, that brings together low-income people, and supporters, to advocate for a fairer society, including urgent action on poverty, housing, and other cost-of-living issues.
