“O just but severe law!”

- Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure

Join us for two thought-provoking evenings as we explore justice, the law, and the role of lawyers through the lens of Shakespeare, brought to life by actors from BottledSnail Productions and legal experts from Melbourne’s legal community.

Building on the success of our 2024 Law Week event—where we examined The Winter’s Tale and its depiction of family violence—this year, we turn our attention to Shakespeare’s portrayal of justice and the law. Scenes from his most famous plays will be performed and then examined through a contemporary legal lens, shedding light on the enduring relevance of his works.
