About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

The Museum of Falling unpacks the material history of civic space and the all-too-human experience of navigating it. Presenting a tragi-comic parade of falling images and objects, the exhibition-cum-installation reanimates the city collection in amusing and telling ways.

Patrick Pound is an Australian artist working with collections of images and objects as if on a dare. From Melbourne to Mannheim, Manhattan to Madrid, Pound has worked with numerous public gallery and museum collections, alongside his own ever-growing photo collection–based artworks.

Located at Melbourne Town Hall, City Gallery presents a program of regular, free exhibitions on city life, past and present. Specialist guest curators, often working in collaboration with artists and other creatives, offer intriguing perspectives on Melbourne life.

This event is free but bookings are essential.

The exhibition is current until Friday 14 February 2025. City Gallery is open Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm.
