About this event

  • Event lasts 4 hours

Alert to Melbourne wine lovers: Come join renowned Australian wine writer Jeremy Oliver and his team at Oliver's Wines for an engaging and informative opportunity to experience some of the best quality and value wines in the Australian market. Taste the wines from 15 or more producers selected from Australia and Europe, meet some of the winemakers and enjoy a wonderful afternoon out on the fringes of the city. You’ll also be able to purchase all of the wines with a 10% discount on the day, delivered to your door.

While the Paradise Valley Hotel has a large carpark, it’s also connected door-to-door by bus from the nearby Belgrave railway station (see FAQs below). So there’s no need to drive if you’d rather not. However, please tell us if you have a dedicated driver in your group, and we’ll take care of them with complimentary non-alcoholic drinks all afternoon.

With its large entertaining spaces and iconic garden that backs onto the Puffing Billy railway track, the spacious Paradise Valley Hotel provides a welcoming and relaxed environment for this laid-back event. With large open fireplaces and live acoustic music on the day, this is the perfect place to spend your Saturday afternoon.

And if you’d like to taste and learn about some of the elite Australian red wines found within the Oliver’s Wines platform, you can also book in for two exclusive Masterclasses hosted by Jeremy Oliver. Be quick though, at $40 places are very limited! Note - you need a general admission ticket to buy the Masterclass add-on.

It’s only $55 per head to attend this carefully curated event, which includes the opportunity to taste more than 70 wines and enjoy a range of finger foods and canapes from the Hotel kitchen that over your afternoon will amount to a main meal. Just as the wines on tasting over-deliver on quality, this event will over-deliver on price.

Win a Chauffeur-Driven Return Ride for 4 people

Make sure you’re one of the first 100 to book so you will automatically be given a chance to travel to and from the event in style. The first 100 tickets purchased go into a draw to win a chauffeur-driven trip from a location within the Melbourne metropolitan area, to and from the venue. Included en route will be a survival pack including a bottle of excellent fizz and nibbles for the drive. This prize is valued at $500.

Winners will be contacted a week prior to the event to arrange pick up and drop off locations and times.

The wineries present will include (and this list is expanding quickly)

    • Altera Terra (Tiny volumes of handcrafted reds and whites with European texture and style)
    • Corymbia (Unprecedented Mediterranean-inspired wines from WA)
