This half day seminar is aimed at nurses with an interest in AYA cancer care.

Hosted at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, this seminar will provide a range of learning experiences including guest speakers, case-based panel discussions and workshop opportunities.

Participants will explore the principles and practicalities of delivering youth-friendly cancer care and have the opportunity to participate in one of three breakout workshops:

• Words Matter: Communicating Effectively with Adolescents and Young Adults with Cancer

• Ethics and legal issues in AYA oncology

• Palliative care and advanced care planning for young people

This seminar will include the voice of Adolescent and Young Adult consumers. Their unique insights and perspectives as the receivers of healthcare, are recognised as critical to the future of AYA cancer care.

Morning tea and lunch will be included.
