The ripple effect of cancer - friends, family, and intimacy

Join us for an insightful event where we explore the impact of cancer beyond the individual. As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Jacinta Parsons will engage in a conversation with Patrice Capogreco author of “FK with Cancer”, Danna Diaz author of “I Love Someone with Cancer”, and a clinical expert who will be confirmed shortly.

This discussion will explore the intersections of sexuality and cancer, focusing on both the emotional and physical impacts that cancer has on sexual health, relationships, and identity. The discussion will also examine how cancer affects the lives of family, friends, and caregivers, impacting their emotional, psychological, and even physical wellbeing.

We are hosting two events at the Peter Mac wellbeing centre. You can choose which events you would like to attend when selecting your tickets:

  • 3 - 4pm in conversation with Patrice, Danna , and clinical expert
  • 6 - 7.30pm in conversation with Jacinta, Patrice, Danna and a clinical expert

At the end of both events there will be a book signing and informal conversation.

This is a free event open to staff, patients, carers, and family members. Registrations are required, and there are limited tickets.
