Returning in 2025 for its 11th Season, The Weekly is the one show on TV that knows the world is far too serious to be taken too seriously.

Charlie Pickering and his team of Australia’s best comedians watch all the news so that you don’t have to, taking the week apart, throwing away the boring bits, and putting it back together in a half-hour of hilarity that makes sense of the nonsense.

Come along to a FREE taping and get an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the filming of a national TV comedy show. We can’t wait to see you!

Frequently asked questions

What time does the event begin?

Please arrive at 6pm for audience check-in. The episode recording starts promptly at 6:30pm and finishes at 8pm.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes! The venue is wheelchair accessible; there is ramp access to the building and the studio is located on the ground floor. There is raised seating bank, with a front row on ground level suitable for those with mobility needs.

Are hearing loops available?

We have Phonak Roger neckloops available for those who would like to make use of them. Let one of our friendly staff know during audience check-in and they will be able to supply the neckloop for the duration of the taping.

Where can I park?

There is limited on-street parking on neighbouring streets, please take note of the signage for any parking restrictions. ABC Southbank is within walking distance of two car parks: Ballet Centre Car Park and Arts Centre Car Park.
