About this event

This session provides a demonstration of the end-to-end process for developers and practitioners on meeting the latest legislative requirements (introduced on 1st May 2023) for designs and building work to be lodged on the NSW Planning Portal.

The Design and Building Practitioners Amendment (Miscellaneous) Regulation 2022 allows the progressive upload and lodgement of construction issued regulated designs where there is more than one construction certificate being issued. This is known as staged development and is commonly used when a developer seeks separate occupation certificates to allow partial occupation of the development before the whole development is completed.

The session will cover the introduction of the 'my development' page for developers, which includes the functionality to manage staged developments. The session will also cover other requirements such as submission of the expected completion notice and eligibility to pay the building work levy and strata building bond.

The changes in May 2023 only affect the workflow where you have a development approval and a construction certificate or a complying development certificate.

The sessions are offered via Microsoft Teams and all you need to join the session is an internet connection.

Additional information and training supporting resources are available by clicking on the event location 'access link' above.

You will be sent an email invite a few days before the session begins with instructions on how to access the training.
