Trauma Recovery Through Transpersonal Psychotherapy.

Trauma alienates us from our bodies. This talk looks at how Transpersonal Psychotherapy can allow clients to find safety and trust in the body's experience once more. The method gently discharges past trauma at the client's own pace, utilising an approach that acknowledges recent neuroscientific and trauma research and integrates spirituality meaningful to the client.

About the Presenter.

Avril Carruthers has had a private practice in Transpersonal Psychotherapy in Sydney for over 35 years. A long term meditator, she lives on the Central Coast with her husband and two cats and a very overgrown garden. She has written two books: Let your past go and live (2009) and Freedom from toxic relationships (2011) and has taught in the counselling disciple at ACAP for the past sixteen years.

If an attendee is Sydney based, they are most welcome to attend on campus. For those not in Sydney, we will broadcast the session live via zoom webinar. A link to the presentation will be sent the morning of the event and again later in the day, for any late registrants.

Please note: Professional Development certificates will only be issued to attendees with an 80% attendance; this is to uphold the integrity of the event and presenter.
