  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

    Fun, parent-supervised school holiday activity for primary school aged children aged 5-9 years who want to learn more about Turtles, run by the TurtleCare Sunshine Coast volunteer team.


    • Learn about the turtles who nest here on the coast - lifecycle , biology and fun facts!
    • Help us save our turtles. Lets explore their habitat. Bring your curiosity and creativity.
    • This event will be outdoors and include beach activities.
    • Please Note : there will be no live turtles at this event

    All participants will require a caregiver who is required to stay but does not need a ticket. Other children may attend but will not be able to participate in age specific activities. Please do not register children outside 5-9 years. Any bookings for children outside the age range will be cancelled and refunds processed.

    Can I leave my child under your supervision?

    No, we do not offer child-minding. This is a parent-supervised activity.

    Can I bring younger or older children along even if they aren't participating ?

    Absolutely. We understand that children in your care might be of varying ages and need to come along while their sibling or friend participates in a booked workshop.

    Do you offer a refund if we need to cancel? [

    Please contact turtlecare@sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au for any booking cancellations or adjustments. We anticipate a waitlist for this event and appreciate prior notice.

    Is the venue and activity wheelchair accessible?

    The boardwalk and pergola are suitable for people of all abilities but this workshop will also include on the beach activities.
