Welcome to the Understanding Non-Fatal & Brain Injury Training!

Join us for Understanding Non-Fatal Strangulation & Brain Injury Training, a free essential workshop for service providers working within the domestic and family violence sector.

Facilitated by Courtney Artridge and Jackie McMillan from Women’s Health NSW, this training aims to deepen your understanding of the severe impacts of non-fatal strangulation (NFS) and its link to acquired brain injury (ABI).

Through expert presentations and practical insights, you’ll learn about:

- What non-fatal strangulation is and why it's often overlooked.

- The dangerous normalisation of sexual choking.

- How pressure on the neck affects the body, including the risk of brain injury.

- Legal frameworks surrounding NFS in NSW.

- Key strategies for responding effectively to women affected by NFS and ABI.

Everything is free, including parking (entry via Mona St Bankstown, Morning Tea, and Lunch, making this a valuable opportunity to enhance your professional skills while networking with other service providers.

Don’t miss out!

Gain the knowledge you need to better support survivors and make a lasting impact in your community.
