Each sip is an experience, each punchline a delicious twist!


Join comedian and wine obsessive Dave Crisante as he takes you on a journey into the wine from his parents hometowns.


This show is a blend of stand-up comedy and wine-tasting.


You'll sample FIVE wines from some of Italy's most famous wine regions - a mix of white, red and sparkles.*


As you sip on tantalising varieties, selected specially to compliment the fantastic Australian weather, you'll be taken on a journey that delves into history of these gorgeous wines.


Dave will take you on a playful, warm journey through the world of flavor, passion, and surprising humor, as he relives how he journeyed from his hometown of Sydney to the Italian regions of Sicily and Abruzzo in the hunt for the perfect wine.


This show is perfect if you love your wine, or if you're interested in tasting some new varieties. Bring your mates, dates, or even come solo and join in the fun!


You'll learn a lot about wine including:

  • Facts to impress your mates or a date when you next open a bottle
  • What varieties to look for when you need to make a quick dash to the bottle shop minutes before it closes
  • Just how much wine you should be drinking to benefit from 'totally legit' health benefit claims.


*If the delicious Italian wine exported from Italy doesn't excite you, Dave's uncle also has some home brew that he's keen to share.


THE WINES

Tasting varieties are subject to change due to availability. This tasting is anticipated to include a sparkling rosé, two whites and two reds. For example:

  • Lambrusco
  • Grillo
  • Pecorino
  • Nero D'Avola
  • Montepulciano

Frequently asked questions

How do we get to the venue?

242 Riley Street, Surry Hills, is a 10-minute walk from Central Station or Museum Station. It is a 5-minute walk from Oxford Street. And it's a 20-minute walk from Town Hall. There is substantial on-street parking, and it's relatively easy to find a spot. Most spots are paid parking.

What are the wines?

The wines are subject to change, but will most likely be one sparkling, two white and two red. For example, a Lambrusco, Grillo, Pecorino, Nero D'Avola and Montepulciano. Grape varieties from Sicily and Abruzzo have been specifically selected.

Is there an intermission?

While there isn't an intermission, there is a substantial amount of tasting, which will give you time to mingle, chill out and soak up the vibe in between all the laughs.

Will there be audience participation?

Of sorts. It's a tasting show, so there's going to be a lot of interaction. But you don't need to be fearful of being picked on, made fun of, or any of the other elements that might make you nervous about going to a comedy show. We are strictly good vibes only.

I want to do comedy - how do I get involved?
