Description

Visiting scholar from US – Professor Lois Lupica

We are fortunate to have Professor Lupica to present her research to our sector. Professor Lupica is in Melbourne on a Fulbright Senior Scholarship into the study of Access to Justice in Australia. (https://mainelaw.maine.edu/faculty/profile/lupica-lois/)

While many of us are rightfully sceptical of 'self-help' for legal assistance, Professor Lupica's research is worth listening to as she provides a model of help that empowers people to not only understand their rights but to act on them. She has been able to rigorously test her work to find out what actually can assist people. A session worth making it to if you can.
