WA: Barista Foundations Training
Join us for a comprehensive hands-on Barista Foundations Training event at Toby's Studio in Northbridge, WA. Essential for both new and experienced baristas as well as cafe owners, our team of trainers, baristas and roasters developed the course for the specialty coffee market.
By completing the training, the attendee is expected to;
1. Appreciate and describe the effort that goes into sourcing, growing, transporting, and roasting coffee beans.
2. Identify the essential equipment they need and use to make espresso coffee.
3. Correctly set up a workstation to start a barista shift.
4. Understand and use the Toby’s Recipe Cards to dial in a grinder.
5. Make adjustments throughout a shift to maintain the Toby’s Recipe.
6. Texturise milk to best compliment Toby’s coffee.
7. Understand the importance of hygiene and cleanliness when working as a barista.
8. Correctly pack down a workstation at the end of a barista shift.
9. Correctly and safely complete an end-of-shift clean of all the equipment used
