Wilbur Whitta Trio

One of Gadigal/Sydney’s most exciting piano trios returns to Foundry616!

Catch Wilbur Whitta (piano), Nick Jansen (bass), and Alex Young (drums) as they perform crowd favourites like Pizza, Not Interested, and Rain, Dear, alongside fresh takes on classics from the American jazz canon. Expect an evening of high-calibre, spontaneous, and electrifying improvised jazz.
Originally from Ngunnawal/Canberra and now a staple of Sydney’s jazz scene, Wilbur has toured globally and performed with legends like Kit Downes and Ten Part Invention. He also leads the group Wildfire, whose debut album dropped on ABC Jazz in 2024, and regularly performs solo piano and organ recitals.
