W.A.R will be supported by local rock n roll legend MAGGIE ALLEY and band. Maggie's music speaks of the flawed feminine, with lyrics drawn from experience in the world, absorbed consciously and unconsciously. Alley’s two digital EPs (Beasts, and Live at the Brunswick Ballroom) have gained strong community radio and ABC airplay, with devastating vocal performances described as “banshee like”. ABC Radio compared her to “a young Patti Smith”.
The pair will be joined by special guest, Ellen James, a bush baby dwelling in the big smoke, whom will bring forth an acoustic solo set of her musical musings and tales of traversing this wild world through lyrical imagery, flitting between melancholy and merry chaos.
