Women's Group

Women's Group

At Centre Self Collective (CSC), we know life can sometimes be challenging, and you don’t have to face it alone. We value connection and community and have designed a space specifically for that. If you’re looking for a space to connect, explore, and be held while sharing, our Women’s Group might be the perfect fit for you.

The CSC Women’s Group will be held in-person at our Brunswick Location. The group will run on Saturday mornings for 5 weeks. Starting on Saturday the 15th of March 2025 between 10:00am – 12:00pm.

Our Women's Group allows you to gather and share what is happening for you through a semi structured space. Offering insight and strategies from two Mental Health Social Workers to support you and promote your wellbeing. This group space can be particularly meaningful for women seeking  to co-create a safe space where they can explore their experiences and further understand the context of being a woman.

What to expect:

In each session, Ash and Bronte will guide you through reflective conversations about your experiences, helping you gain insights and make meaningful connections. Sessions will be held in a group space that has dimmed lighting, optional seating (chair, cushions, or floor), sensory toys and relaxing scents and items. Sessions may involve specific activities, strategies, or themes based on what is coming up for the group as a collective. You’ll have the chance to reflect throughout the session, with time after for informal connection and conversations.

You can show up exactly as you are. We encourage comfort and bring anything along with you that supports this. We will provide tea and coffee as well as small selection of snacks.

How it works

At Centre Self Collective, our Women’s Group provides a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for women to explore personal challenges and their inner world, share experiences, and build connections with other women.

Sessions may include open discussions, structured exercises, mindfulness practices, and psychoeducational components. Group members support one another through shared understanding, empathy, and encouragement, promoting personal growth and fostering a sense of community and belonging.

Do I need to have a goal to work on?

Absolutely not! Our Women’s Groups are designed differently to individual therapy, and you do not need to have a goal to work on. It is a space that is flexible, and you can  show up exactly as you are with whatever has come up for you that week. Our goal is to hold a space where all group members co-create safety, providing a meaningful experience that  promotes you as a whole person. However, you are more than welcome to have a goal if that feels supportive for you.
