In this four-hour course, we cover the skills needed to progress your riding and prepare you for our Air Time 101 Jumps Clinic.
Along the way, you will learn skills and techniques to help you on a variety of terrain.
Prepare for Air will be coached by PMBIA Level 2 instructor Ash Gray - an experienced mountain bike coach with a long riding and racing history.
Prepare for Air is for riders at an Intermediate level. Please check out the prerequisite skills below, or go to our Rider Levels page.
This course focuses on:
- Correct body position
- Bike and body separation
- Increasing your range of movement on the bike
- Learning pressure control
- Manoeuvres including front wheel lifts and bunny hops
Prerequisite skills:
- Confidence (or developing confidence) riding a variety of trails, including Intermediate trails (check out Rider Levels info here: https://www.ridecraftmtb.com.au/about/rider-levels)
- Understanding of Ready and Neutral body positions

Uplift shuttles are not required for this course.
