The Centre for Excellence in Rural Sexual Health (CERSH) would like to invite you to the official launch of the Rural Services Development Project: Working towards sustainability report.
The report showcases strategies to maximise existing resources, and structure service models that support the sustainability of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services in rural communities.
This event will offer an in-depth exploration of the report, showcasing innovative approaches to SRH service delivery. It will highlight key insights and best practice examples from funded rural and regional SRH hubs, providing practical guidance for adapting service delivery models to meet the unique needs of diverse communities. The presentations will also outline actionable strategies and recommendations to foster resilient and equitable SRH services for the future.
The launch will feature sector experts sharing their insights on effectively utilising this resource to enhance clinical practice and improve patient care in rural settings. Speakers include:
- Joanne Zamperoni: Business Manager of the clinical services at Gateway Health Wodonga including the SRH hub, Clinic 35.
Joanne will provide a business perspective on the challenges faced by regional SRH hubs and outline how practice managers can use this guide to help the service progress toward sustainability.
- Dr. Karishma Kaur: Specialised SRH General Practitioner, lead clinician in the SRH hub, at Bendigo Community Health Services.
Dr. Kaur will offer an in-depth overview of the Working Towards Sustainability report, highlighting how to effectively navigate this resource and maximise its impact to improve clinical practice and patient care in rural settings.
Following the presentations, lunch will be provided to offer an opportunity for attendees to network, discuss ideas informally, and strengthen connections across the SRH community.
We are excited to launch this report and share learnings with the sector, helping to further enhance SRH care in rural and regional communities.
