Throughout the class, you’ll engage in guided exploration that helps you:
- Feel Your Heart & Emotions: Learn how to tune into your emotional landscape and understand what your heart is communicating through movement.
- Explore Energy Healing: Discover dance as Energy in Motion that naturally allows you to release and connect.
- Connect with Your Senses: Both physical and subtle. Discover how to tap into the deep wisdom of your body’s senses, from the touch of your skin to the energy fields around you. These practices help you stay grounded, feel your emotions and ENHANCE your intuition and be able to read what your senses are picking up.
- Balance Your Emotions and Body: Through Body-Mind Centering techniques, you’ll gain skills to help balance what feel out of sync, allowing you to feel more centred and naturally accept yourself.
What to Expect:
- Start with Connection: We begin each session by focusing on a specific part of the body—like the heart, feet, or hands—and exploring how it moves and feels. You’ll tune into your senses and build a deeper connection with your body.
- Interactive Exercises: Through Body-Mind Centering techniques and gentle partner work, you’ll learn how to connect with your body’s natural energy. Don’t worry if partner work isn’t your thing—you can always opt-out and still fully participate.
- World Dance Exploration: As we move through the class, you’ll experience dances from around the world, like Afro-Samba and Mid-Eastern Dance. Whether you follow along with simple choreography or improvise, there’s no wrong way to move!
- Free Dance: The class wraps up with a free dance session where you can let loose, express yourself, and connect with others through joyful movement.
