About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

A powerful, heart-wrenching novel about love that endures against pitiless odds.

Kidnapped by sealers and enslaved far from her homeland, Nannertgarrook has a spirit that refuses to bow. Based on the true story of Tasma Walton's ancestor, this is not just what life was like for a First Nations woman on the fringes of colonial society, but also the beautiful tale of how Nannertgarrook's totem and connection to her birthright country keep her spirit strong.
