[CANCELLED] Writing Friday at Queensland Writers Centre

At Queensland Writers Centre, we understand that life can get in the way of writing. That is why we have Writing Fridays, a chance for you to get those words down on the page and connect with other writers in your community!

Writing Fridays follows the Pomodoro Technique of 25-minute blocks of writing, followed by 5-minute breaks and longer breaks throughout the day. There are 15-minute breaks for every third break and a long lunch break from 12:50pm - 1:30pm.

We are inviting everyone, members and non-members alike, to book your space and attend a Writing Fridays session for free, right here at Queensland Writers Centre, located in the State Library of Queensland.

Terms of Participation

Please do not bring any food or drink besides bottled water into the QWC writing space. Phones should be switched off or put on silent and stored away in a bag.

How to cancel your booking:

Please cancel your booking if you are unable to come. Writing Fridays is often booked out, and if you cannot make it that means that someone else might use your seat.

1. Go to your order. Log in to your Eventbrite account, then click your order on the Tickets page.

2. Choose "Cancel Order". Select 'Cancel Order" (next to your order details). Then choose “Yes, cancel this order".

3. Check for an email from Eventbrite. You will receive an email to confirm your cancellation. Please confirm
