With this workshop, your children will have the opportunity to explore the wonderful world of yoga and unleash their inner artists.

Kids aged 6-10 years old


Workshop details:

9.30am - 10.15am YOGA AND MINDFULNESS

The class is a blend of creative movement, yoga poses, yoga and mindfulness games, calm breathing and relaxation techniques.


10.15 - 10.30 morning tea break (please bring your own snacks)


10.30 - 11.30 am ART CREATION

Each artist will choose from these offerings: the opportunity to create a watercolor painting based on breath work, design their own clay calming stones, and/or a draw their own nature mandala.

About the hosts:

Erika:

Kids Yoga With Erika delivers engaging yoga and mindfulness programs for children across early learning centres, schools, and community classes on the Sunshine Coast. Erika, a certified Kids' Yoga and Early Years Yoga teacher with over 12 years of yoga practice, creates programs and workshops to inspire children’s well- being with benefits including improved flexibility, balance, concentration, and self- regulation, alongside boosted confidence and self-esteem. Classes foster kindness, self-awareness, and imagination, creating a nurturing space for personal growth. With her passion for supporting children’s holistic development, Erika empowers them to explore their potential, feel confident, and embrace mindfulness daily.

Jen:

Jen is an Atelierista, a teacher, an artist, and a fierce advocate for children, educators, and early childhood education as a sector. She has a Bachelor of Art Education and a Master of Teaching. Jen has taught across two countries and four states in a wide range of settings - from large state schools to intimate early childhood services, from community kindy to preservice teacher units at university. Jen has settled on the Sunshine Coast as a Teacher and Educational Leader as well as a practicing artist and Atelierista in her own right.
