Live4Life Glenelg is hosting a community Youth Mental Health First Aid course in Portland over two days in December 2025. This course complements the Teen Mental Health First Aid education that is being rolled out across all secondary colleges in Glenelg and is part of the broader Live4Life Glenelg initiative. Adults who undertake the Youth Mental Health First Aid training course will have a better understanding of common mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, eating disorders and psychosis. This course also teaches adults to learn how to identify the signs and symptoms of a developing mental health problem in a young person, how to have a conversation with them when they are in distress or crisis, and how to support them in receiving professional help.
This accredited 14-hour course I will be delivered in 2 x 7 hr blocks. BOTH sessions must be completed to gain accreditation.
Thursday 11 December 9.30am- 4:30pm
Thursday 11 18 December 9:30 - 4:30pm
The cost of the course is $33.08 excl Eventbrite fee, which covers your manual, tea/coffee. Our costs remain low due to our generous Live4Life Glenelg partners.
