For all those that have been asking and waiting patiently for when the next all-in-one Zero to Hero Barbecue Guru 102 Course is going to be held, we have set a date for Friday the 24th to the 25th of October 2025!

This BBQ class will blow your socks off and one of , if not THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE BBQ Masterclass in Australia and there is literally no BBQ class that's better bang for your buck, anywhere in the world, with a full day of non-stop eating BBQ degustation.

This course is for all levels of experience, from beginners to advanced so you and anyone can learn how fire, smoke and meat, make magic and the detailed instruction and tuition given on the day, will get your BBQ Spidey Senses tingling and turn you into a BBQ Jedi Master!

We have a unique way of teaching you how to extract the best out of your meat and your smokers and go deep into explaining not only what to do and how to do it but when and also the why, so it really makes sense and you can replicate what we teach you, at home.

The course is an absolutely massive, full day event, where many have said that they can't believe the value that they receive on the day and our course content and ongoing support makes this hands down the best bang for your buck BBQ masterclasses anywhere but it all happens in a relaxed environment to make for a memorable day.

Our class is so highly regarded by BBQ lovers all over Australia, with people flying in from other states to attend.

With Barbecue Guru 102 Course the class starts 5:30PM on Friday and then it'll be a full day affair from 7:30AM, until around 5:30PM on the Saturday but many stay after and sit around the fire with a drink or two and ask me questions.

The course is a zero to hero course for everything from low and slow and/or hot and fast BBQ and award-winning pitmasters David Ong and Jason Meldrum from Molly's BBQ and Smokehouse will share easy to follow recipes, instructions and sure-fire techniques, for you to be able to hit the ground running and impress your family and friends, with what you've learnt.

BRISKET!!!, with a brisket masterclass built in and sample a Wagyu brisket and cheap brisket to compare. Can you guess which is which?

Texas style, falling apart beef ribs!

Kansas City competition style pork ribs!

And eat Ongie's pork belly with a couple of other surprises too, with lots we can't advertise but everyone that's been before knows. ;)

We'll not only share the basics and fundamentals of how to extract the best out of your meat but also your smoker, with the course including instruction of using charcoal, wood and real fire only in an assortment of rigs such as offsets, bullets, kamados, drums, Weber kettles, pellet smokers, gravity fed and we can even help with using your gas or electric smokers too.

Through developing your instincts over the day, you will be the ones to tell me whether the meat etc is ready or not, so you can hit the ground running with developing those Spidey Senses and people that have attended the course, from beginner, novice and intermediate levels have gone on to have immense successes with their cooks, including many with their first big brisket cook, after gaining confidence from the course.

The course doesn't stop there and the support is ongoing and with direct, accurate and relevant advice.

Guests are also welcome to come Friday night and stay and watch us cook overnight, as well as on the Saturday night, so bring a tent and relax.

Parking is limited and not guaranteed and only available to the limited spots for those camping. All other guests will be required to find other means of transport to the location which is 20 minutes south of the CBD, so we’d recommend getting dropped off or catching an Uber.

The costs have gone up significantly since starting these classes and it’s a hell of a lot more work to put this on compared to our 6 hour class.

For the full experience including Friday night seeing all the behind the scenes preparation before the big day, smashing your own burger, eating Ongie’s crispy pork belly and a surprise or two, plus the 10 hour Barbecue Guru 101 Course Saturday including camping both nights, is only $499 plus booking fee.
