Queensland Veterinary Specialists

Established in 1982, Queensland Veterinary Specialists (QVS) is the first private, specialists hospital in Australia. Since this time, QVS and subsequently PetER have expanded to provide specialised and emergency patient care across a range of disciplines via referrals from other veterinarians. We receive referrals from all over Australia to our two Brisbane hospitals located in Stafford and Northlakes in Brisbane, Queensland.

We take great pride in our availability and client focused delivery of care. Our veterinarians supported by the excellent staff around them, go out of their way to be available for short notice consultations and emergency presentations whenever the need arises.

It goes without saying that teamwork is essential to good outcomes. QVS is a place where hierarchy is discouraged and an ethos of everyone pitching in to get the job done is promoted. We have a work family of over 180 including, veterinarians, nurses, technicians, radiographers, client services and support staff.
