What music do we play?

At YURI, we take pride in our diverse and dynamic music selection, like a big cloud chart with RnB & Hip Hop at its core. We believe in giving our DJs the freedom to unleash their creativity, ensuring each event is a unique and unforgettable experience. You can expect to groove to an array of sounds, from soulful mixes to the infectious beats of Amapiano, Afro Beats, and Dancehall. Venture into the realms of UK Rap, Drill, Hip Hop EDM, Jersey Club Rap, and captivating K-pop melodies. Why the name YURI?

The name YURI is a nod to our shared experiences as young adults exploring our sexuality. Searching online for some representation and stumbling upon those yuri/yaoi romance stories? canon moment fr. Mainstream media may have lacked representation, but with just a few google searches, we found a treasure trove of queer romance stories that spoke to our hearts.

Why the rebrand?

We rebranded from EMPIRE to YURI to evolve and better cater to our community's needs. It’s more than just a makeover unlike Twitters rebrand to X. YURI represents a new chapter of growth, inclusivity, and vibrant experiences. Our goal is to create not only a dance event but an interactive one that fosters meaningful connections whilst exploring the sounds of our local creative talent. We're excited to embark on this journey with you and create unforgettable memories together.

Who can attend?

While the term "yuri" may traditionally refer to girls love, at YURI, our WLW / GL Hip Hop nightclub event, we embrace and celebrate everyone in the queer community. This is a space for all LGBTQ+ individuals, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation.
